Primary Purpose: Perform activities relating to designing, building, testing, implementing, and maintaining Data Models in EU Analytics under the guidance of a Sr. Data Engineer - Data Modeler or Manager. Primary Duties: Perform, document, and assist in planning work activities relating to projects, sub-projects, or processes. For Projects: analyze requirements, design, build, and test IT software solutions in accordance with IT project management standards. For operations/application maintenance: enhance, maintain, or support existing Data Models and Data Products (70%)Assist in creation of documentation for products and services. Use best practices to improve products and services provided to business unit partners, and monitor adherence within Team/Group to standards as defined within the Management Model (20%)Proactively build business relationships, technical knowledge, and business acumen within own discipline or function. (10%) Job Scope: Uses technical resources and collaborate with colleagues across the IT organization to solve problems.As assigned, work effectively with outsourcing partners.Performs this service in support of Exelon Utility Analytics.Assists in the review of data protection requirements of business functions and document the available solutions and processes.Works under general supervision. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline and 2-4 years' relevant experience in data warehouse design, business intelligence reporting and ETL/TLT processing or 3-6 equivalent combination of education and work experience.Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation, such as systems specifications, product descriptions, operational procedures, etc.Some experience or exposure to the various commands and components of a variety of tools. Understands basic concepts, symbols, and conventions.Understands how tasks are integrated to produce final deliverables and able to recognize 'textbook' problems and resolve them with assistance.Experience implementing a data naming standard for a business area or department, recommended appropriate levels of data access for different user groups and suggested appropriate backup and recovery strategies for various categories of data.
