Overview: Saiia Construction Company LLC will be supporting a multi-year project near Joseph City, Arizona. With many new job opportunities available, come be a part of this important project today! NOW HIRING:  Onsite Construction Manager POSITION SUMMARY:  Responsible for directing, planning and managing construction activities to help ensure project completion within assigned schedule and budget and in compliance with Company safety and procedural policies. As a MasTec Company, we are poised for continued growth and an exciting future! MasTec’s Clean Energy and Infrastructure Group (CE&I) is a $4 billion annual revenue business unit that provides construction services for industrial facilities; building products manufacturers, power generation facilities, manufacturing plants; solar, wind, and thermal energy plants; buildings, and infrastructure.  Responsibilities: Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and proceduresOversee all construction activities, specific to assigned discipline, on assigned projectConstruct the project and work with the management team to maximize the profit of the projectMonitor and oversee construction activities and personnel within the delivery timelines, including development plans and training requirementsKeep Project Manager informed of overall construction activity progress & performance along with monitoring and review of construction key performance indicatorsCooperate with all matters relating to health and safety, including following safe working procedures at all timesAct as a role model for Saiia’s vision and values, behaving in ways that are in alignment with Saiia’s ways of working while encouraging other to do so as wellPromote equality in the workplace and adopt appropriate behavior when interacting with colleaguesTake necessary care to properly protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of corporate information from unauthorized disclosure, modification or destructionBuild, Supervise & lead teamsCommunicate effectively with crew leads on goals and expectationsEnsure the Foremen and Superintendent manage crews and subcontractors to provide a safe work environmentWork with the Foremen and Superintendent to facilitate an environment for all employees to work in a respectful, constructive and positive environmentManage the construction package elements of the procurement processMonitor contract performance against project milestones, budget and other established metricsCare for and sustain business relationships with multiple clientsWork with the Project Manager to ensure Client expectations are being met, along with the agreement and scope of workBuild and maintain a relationship with Client Site Representatives to ensure open communication and trustEnsure all work in assigned discipline is done to Saiia Safety and Quality standardsBe proactive in equipment management, preventing equipment damages and planning of equipment resourcesComplete personnel administrative tasks in a timely manner; expectation documents, performance management, task planners, employee change forms, etc.Work closely with the Field Operations team on resource management to ensure we have the right people on the project at the right times to drive project profitabilitySupport Business Development, Estimating and Preconstruction efforts as needed Qualifications: Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward MasTec’s Zero Injury principlesProficient in Microsoft Office Suite; including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointRead, analyze and interpret blueprints, professional journals, technical procedures, contracts or governmental regulationsWrite reports, business correspondence and document project activitiesEffectively present information and respond to questions from project managers, superintendents, clients, customers and the general publicCalculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volumeInterpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experienceThree years of construction industry experience/knowledge of construction techniques, estimating and construction management WORK ENVIRONMENT: Works in an office environment at the corporate office or in the field.May be exposed to extreme temperatures in the field – hot and cold.May be exposed to chemicals, refuse and dirt from jobsites.Moderate noise levels.May be exposed to other risks associated with working around heavy machines, tools and trucks.  LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: Must have and maintain a valid state issued Driver’s License with driving record that meets Saiia’s risk management guidelines. TRAVEL: This position may be assigned to either a project site or the corporate office.
