Job DescriptionAramark Facilities Management is hiring a Journeyman Electrician to support operations at the General Motors Wentzville Assembly Center. This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex electrical systems in a critical facilities environment. The typical working hours for this position are 2:00PM-10:30PM. This role is ideal for a licensed electrician who takes pride in craftsmanship, values structure and safety, and wants long-term stability in a professional facilities environment. This position requires an active Journeyperson Electrician license or card. Candidates without proper certification will not be considered. Requirements are listed below. UAW JOURNEYPERSON REQUIREMENTS: 1.            Department of Labor Certificate of Completion of a Bonafide 4 year/8000 hour apprenticeship program. 2.            If not, must have 8 years of verifiable experience. If the 8 years is from a UAW facility, you must have a letter from the facility on company letterhead stating the dates of service and classification/s of the work performed during the years you are submitting as your experience. This letter must then be signed by a company representative with their name and title printed and it must also be signed by the local union bargaining chair or steward at the facility with their name and title printed. If the 8 years experience is not at the UAW facility, the additional years of verifiable experience must be on company letterhead, signed by the company representative and then taken to be notarized.Job ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial electrical systemsWork with high-voltage systems (up to 480V), power distribution, switchgear, transformers, and UPS systemsRead and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and printsBend and install conduit; pull wire; install electrical fixtures and controlsPerform root cause analysis and advanced electrical troubleshootingUtilize CMMS systems (e.g., Maximo) for work orders and documentationTest electrical components for voltage, current, continuity, and resistanceSupport plant engineering and project teams on equipment installation and upgradesCoach and mentor apprentices as assignedOperate lifts, forklifts, and work safely at heightsFollow all GM and Aramark safety policies  At Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers. In order to meet our commitments, job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice.QualificationsActive Journeyman Electrician license or Journeyman cardMinimum 7+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experienceHigh school diploma or equivalent (technical degree preferred)Strong working knowledge of NEC standards and electrical safety practicesAbility to work independently or as part of a skilled trades teamStrong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skillsPhysically capable of performing trade duties, including lifting and working at heightsThis role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing.
