A K-12 school in Sacramento, CA is seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to provide vital communication support for students from July 29 through May 31. This contract position offers approximately 30 hours per week and plays a key role in facilitating effective learning and interaction for deaf and hard-of-hearing students.Apply fast, check the full description by scrolling below to find out the full requirements for this role.Key Responsibilities:Provide clear, professional American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation services to students across various classrooms.Rotate throughout the campus to support multiple students as needed, ensuring equal access to educational content.Collaborate with teachers, staff, and other support personnel to maintain effective communication and a positive learning environment.Uphold confidentiality and adhere to school policies and guidelines.Qualifications:Minimum of a 4.0 EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score.Proven experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in an educational setting.Excellent command of ASL and strong interpreting skills.Ability to adapt and manage multiple assignments throughout a school campus.Reliable attendance and professional demeanor.Location and Schedule:Position based onsite in Sacramento, CA (remote interpreting is not an option).Work schedule includes approximately 30 hours per week during the school year.This is a valuable opportunity for an interpreter who is passionate about supporting students educational success through skilled ASL interpretation.
