Our remote special education program seeks experienced professionals to deliver targeted interventions and academic support through innovative virtual teaching methods.All the relevant skills, qualifications and experience that a successful applicant will need are listed in the following description. Position Summary This remote position focuses on supporting students with dyslexia, dyscalculia, and other specific learning disabilities through individualized virtual instruction. You'll work with approximately 38-44 students in grades K-5, implementing research-based interventions and multi-sensory teaching approaches adapted for online delivery. Time Commitment: 36 hours per week Grade Levels: Primary Elementary (K-5) Caseload: 38-44 students Expertise Areas: Reading interventions, math support, executive functioning, and study skills development Daily Responsibilities Your work will center on providing intensive remedial instruction in core academic areas, with particular emphasis on reading and mathematics skill development. You'll utilize specialized curriculum materials and adaptive software to create engaging lessons that address individual learning differences. Progress monitoring through frequent assessment and data analysis guides your instructional decisions and helps determine intervention effectiveness. You'll prepare detailed reports for IEP teams and maintain ongoing communication with general education teachers to ensure coordinated support services. Parent consultation forms an important component of your role, as you'll provide families with home-based strategies that reinforce classroom learning. You'll also train parents to use specific techniques and materials that support their child's academic growth. Required Credentials Master's degree in Learning Disabilities, Special Education, or related field Active New Hampshire Special Education teaching license with learning disabilities endorsement Minimum 2 years of experience in learning disabilities instruction Knowledge of Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading, or similar structured literacy programs Experience with assistive technology and learning support software Strong background in curriculum-based measurement and progress monitoring Reliable technology setup for virtual instruction delivery Specialized Knowledge This position requires deep understanding of how specific learning disabilities affect academic performance and the ability to implement evidence-based interventions in virtual settings.
