Schooling is not required, but it is preferred. We offer state of the art shop, climate-controlled year round. Tools supplied if needed. Potential employee housing could be offered for the right candidate.*Duties** Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of vehicles, including passenger cars and light trucks.* Diagnose mechanical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.* Conduct thorough inspections of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.* Repair or replace defective parts using power tools and hand tools.* Align wheels and perform other adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal vehicle performance.* Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and diesel engine repair techniques.* Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.* Communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle needs and repair options.*Qualifications** Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role.* Strong knowledge of automotive repair practices, including mechanical and electrical systems.* Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and power tools.* Customer service skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly.* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.* Relevant certifications in automotive technology or mechanics are preferred but not required.* A valid driver's license is necessary for this position.Join us in delivering exceptional automotive services while advancing your career in a supportive environment!Job Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Flexible schedule* Health insurance* Paid time offSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Day shift* Monday to Friday* No weekends* OvertimeSupplemental Pay:* Commission payAbility to Commute:* Grand Marais, MN 55604 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Grand Marais, MN 55604: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
