Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Reading and interpreting civil engineering and survey plans. Applying thorough knowledge of standard land survey procedures, accurate note-keeping, and field execution for boundary, topographic, and construction surveys. Operating and/or directing the operation of electronic data collectors, GPS equipment, optical and robotic total stations, and digital/optical leveling equipment. Making sound, informed decisions in the field. Motivating, training, and leading crew and staff members on proper field procedures.REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE-Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record -Willingness to travel as needed (Less than once a month in state) -Experience with topographic surveys, boundary surveys, construction layout, and GPS surveys -High school diploma or equivalent -5 to 10+ years of experience with construction and boundary survey work -Ability to take clear, legible field notesHUGE PLUS: Hydrographic surveying experience (Specialized field focused on measuring and surveying underwater features).
