We are seeking an extremely reliable, hardworking and dedicated individual to join our customer service technician team.Read on to find out what you will need to succeed in this position, including skills, qualifications, and experience.Rate of pay is negotiable based on experience with windows, doors, hand and power tools.*Job Purpose: *To fix, repair, replace and/or install products in customer's residence*Scope of Responsibilities: *Assess door and window service inquiries to determine what services and/or products are needed; Research correct parts for the service; May need to occasionally collect deposits from customers; Contact customers to schedule service date and time; Complete all service work for assigned customers; Complete all related paperwork; Pull, deliver and install window and patio door screens for assigned customers; Maintain accurate and detailed records as needed; Maintain well stocked, clean and safe service vehicle; Field any and all questions on Andersen products, parts and service; Assist with annual inventory*Minimum Education Requirement: *High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant work experience*Knowledge, Skill, Training, Licenses, Experience and/or Abilities:*· 6 Months + related experience in similar field· Strong work ethic; reliable, punctual and timely in all aspects· Good working knowledge of windows, patio doors and exterior door units· Strong skills with hand and power tools; ability to read a tape measure accurately· Valid driver's license with clean driving record· Long-term career mentality· Ability to read and write· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written· Personable with strong customer communication skills· Strong problem solving skills· Safety conscious*Equipment/Software/Technology used:*· Frequent use of ladders and scaffolding· Frequent use of hand and power tools; i.e. saws, tape measure, level and glass tools· Frequent use of cellular phone· Frequent use of company vehicle*Essential physical and mental functions:*· Must be able to handle stressful situations in a professional manner· Must be comfortable communicating with customers, sales staff and builders· Must maintain a pleasant demeanor· Must maintain a safe and clean environment· Must be able to operate a vehicle safely· Must be able to lift up to 150 lbs.· Must be comfortable and safe while working from heights· Ability to work alone*Working Conditions: *Outdoor environments that may include heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.*Safety Requirements:*All employees are expected to adhere to the safety regulations set forth by OSHA and company policies.
