Provide necessary information on the proper uses of the equipment. Also ensure adequate materials are available to complete assignments in a timely manner. This is a high customer contact position demanding impeccable professionalism, customer service orientation and needs assessments abilities.*Position Responsibilities:** Coordinates with requesting department and other trades for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently.* Diagnoses malfunctions of heating/air conditioning/refrigeration systems and/or other components for the purpose of identifying repair/replacement needs necessary to maintain equipment and systems.* Directs other maintenance workers as may be required for the purpose of ensuring that assignments and completed in a safe, proper and timely manner.* Installs heating/air conditioning/refrigeration systems and related equipment (i.e. unit heaters, pumps, safety controls, etc.) for the purpose of providing comfort inside facilities.* Maintains tools, supplies and/or equipment (i.e. torches, cutters, drills, test equipment, sheet metal, filters, control components, fan blades, gaskets, seals, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of items and equipment is in safe operating condition.* Meets contracts and engineers for the purpose of discussing problems with new installations and future projects.* Orders equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required items.* Prepares documentation for the purpose of providing written support and/or conveying information.* Repairs various items, systems and/or components (i.e. refrigerators, air conditioning systems, heating units, etc.) for the purpose of providing renovation and preventive maintenance of heating/air conditioning and refrigeration systems.* Requests equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required items.* Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate concerns.* Assists other trades personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.* Other duties as may be assigned*Essential Skills and Requirements:** Must be a licensed HVAC Technician* Draw, interpret and read graphic instructions such as blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts and other visual aids* Make decisions based on measurable criteria, and visualize objects in three-dimensions from plans and drawings* Comprehend and make inferences from written material* Use various tools and equipment, including but not limited to saws, hammer drill, ratchet cutter, T-drill, turbo torches, tamper, jack hammer, and various other hand tools.* Will be responsible to periodically operate forklifts, aerial lifts, scaffolding, scissor lifts and ladders, ensuring safe operation by self and other direct reports.* Minimum of four years HVAC experience, preferably in a commercial/industrial setting* Good communication skills, including verbal and oral*Physical Demands and Work Environment: *The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
