Wood Herron & Evans offers clients a full spectrum of IP services across patent, trademark and trade dress, copyright and advertising law, trade secret management and enforcement, and licensing.Come join our team of talented IP attorneys at Wood Herron & Evans LLP!*Summary:*Wood Herron & Evans LLP is seeking a Patent Attorney (or Agent) with a Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or related degree/background for a position in its Chem/Bio/Materials Science and/or Mechanical/Aerospace patent preparation and prosecution practice.*Responsibilities:** Prepare patent applications.* Evaluate and respond to office actions (US and international).* Opinion work.* Participate in client and Patent Examiner interviews.* Conduct legal research, as well as other activities/projects.*Qualifications:*Our ideal candidate will have the following:* Two (2) or more years patent preparation and prosecution experience required.* JD from accredited law school required (will consider Patent Agents - JD not required).* Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering, Physics (or other related field) required, with an advanced degree preferred.* Admission to the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) and /or the State of Ohio Bar.*Applications *_*must*_ *include the following:** Cover letter* Résumé* Legal writing sample* Law school/University transcriptsWood Herron & Evans LLP is an equal opportunity employer.
