Port City Family Law is seeking to hire a Family Law Associate Attorney who is passionate about representing clients facing some of the most challenging times in their lives; the position is based out of the firm's Wilmington, North Carolina office.Please make an application promptly if you are a good match for this role due to high levels of interest.Port City Family Law is a domestic litigation practice law firm with located in Wilmington, North Carolina.*Qualifications: *-JD from an ABA Accredited School-Admission to the North Carolina State Bar-2-5 years of experience practicing family law-Strong understanding of family law statutes and procedures-Experience with Child Custody, Child Support, Agreement & Modifications, Divorce, Child Support Enforcement, Paternity, Domestic Violence & Orders of Protection.-Knowledge of and experience in litigation.-Self-confident and able to work independently or with minimal supervision.*Job Responsibilities: *-Represent clients in family law matters, including but not limited to, divorce, child custody, child support, and domestic violence cases.-Appear in court for family law matters the firm has been hired on.-Conduct family law consultations and intakes with potential clients and advise on their case and how the firm can best represent them, while setting realistic expectations.-Draft legal documents, including agreements, pleadings, motions and orders.-Conduct legal research and analysis.-Communicate efficiently with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts.*Compensation*:Base Salary of $60,000-$100,000K a year.Performance bonus (based on individual and business performance to be evaluated annually)Firm paid downtown parkingPaid time offPaid holidaysCLEs and Membership dues covered by the firmJob type: Full-time.Job Type: Full-timePay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per yearAbility to Commute:* Wilmington, NC 28401 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Wilmington, NC 28401: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
