We are seeking a highly skilled *Data Center Engineer Consultant* to join our team at Palisades, NJ.Ensure all your application information is up to date and in order before applying for this opportunity.*Responsibilities** Gather requirements, perform physical installation, and troubleshoot all equipment within the Data Centers.* Coordinate with local and global/remote teams to resolve technical issues and manage connectivity.* Monitor and report on technical progress, ensuring project deliverables are tracked and met.* Maintain clean, organized, and safe Data Center and shared workspace environments.* Leverage global Data Center documentation and best practices; suggest improvements and update process documentation as needed.* Manage equipment orders, returns, shipments, and overall inventory accuracy.* Make and test copper and fiber patch cables as required.*Qualifications** Solid understanding of Data Center operations and layout, including power, cooling, racking, cabling, and structured pathways.* Good understanding of networking and systems fundamentals (circuits, IP routing, console access, switching concepts).* Working knowledge of Linux (Red Hat preferred).* Basic Cisco knowledge (CCNA preferred).* Hands-on experience with copper and fiber cabling; ability to inspect, clean, test, and validate fiber (preferred).* Experience working in an exchange, financial services environment, or international technology firm (preferred).* Technical inventory management experience (preferred).* Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and access to a personal vehicle.*Physical & Work Environment Requirements** Able to lift, move, and carry equipment typically used in a Data Center (servers, switches, UPS units, cabling boxes), up to 50 lbs unassisted.* Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours during installation windows).* Able to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and navigate hot/cold aisle environments.* Comfortable performing overhead work, bending, kneeling, and repetitive physical tasks.* Ability to work in secure, noisy, or temperature-variant environments typical of large-scale Data Centers. xijylhu * Willingness to work occasional off-hours or weekend maintenance windows as required._*If you are a good fit, we would like to hear from you!*_Job Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hourWork Location: In person
