The team is responsible for end-to-end service management, including engineering, deployment, operations, and governance of Storage and Backup services across The Hartford's hybrid environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a collaborative team with a unified goal of enhancing core services using multi-cloud and on-prem capabilities.This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office (Columbus, OH, Chicago, IL, Hartford, CT or Charlotte, NC) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, and maintain Enterprise Storage and Backup Solutions that support the entirety of The Hartford's hybrid environmentParticipate in the development and technical deployment of cyber, disaster recovery, operational recovery capabilities to support application teams and enterprise initiativesSupport the migration of Enterprise Storage and Backup Solutions to various private and public cloud offerings in support of a large-scale data center transformation effortEngineer capabilities across various platforms and products including NetApp, AWS FSx, AWS Backup, and moreAssists in the development and maintenance of IT services as it relates to backup and recoveryPartner with IT architects to ensure that modified IT service interacts appropriately, data conversion impacts are considered, and other areas of impact are addressed and meet performance requirements of the service/projectParticipate in all aspects of service ownership including architecture, design, migration, deployment, runtime support, audit activities, and financial stewardshipCollaborate and consult with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of storage and backup systems by supporting new requirements, design challenges, and functionality configurationsProvide operational and technical support to end-users with an emphasis on stability and operational excellenceQualificationsProven experience in designing, engineering, and supporting large scale Storage (NAS) NetApp/FSx file systemsStrong knowledge of storage protocols including NFS, CIFSExperience with Cloud Storage Solutions including AWS FSx, FSxN is preferredBasic Unix server administration, scripting, network and firewall concepts is requiredWorking knowledge of modern DevOps infrastructure deployment concepts through CI/CD pipelinesExperience using toolsets such as GitHub, Ansible, and Terraform are requiredExperience with creating technical documentation and infrastructure diagramsFamiliarity with data protection, disaster recovery and cyber recovery is preferredSelf-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to work in a team environment and independentlyExcellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrategic thinking skills. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role.
