*Job Overview*Read on to find out what you will need to succeed in this position, including skills, qualifications, and experience.We are seeking a dynamic and driven attorney to join our team to work personal injury and civil rights cases in our Columbia or Charleston office. We are ideally looking for someone with at least 2 years of experience. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive approach to legal research, exceptional writing skills, and a passion for advocating on behalf of clients. You will play a vital role in guiding clients through legal challenges, developing strategic litigation plans, and ensuring the highest standards of legal excellence.*Duties** Manage all phases of civil litigation cases from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and settlement negotiations* Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and stay current on relevant laws and regulations* Draft clear, persuasive legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements with precision and attention to detail* Advise clients on a broad range of legal issues including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, immigration law, landlord-tenant disputes, patent law, and other civil matters* Develop case strategies by analyzing facts, researching applicable laws, and preparing for litigation or alternative dispute resolution processes* Negotiate settlements effectively while maintaining strong advocacy for client interests* Collaborate with colleagues in the law office to ensure seamless case management and compliance with all procedural requirements*Requirements** Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in relevant jurisdiction* Proven experience in civil litigation with a strong understanding of litigation procedures and courtroom practices* Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw; familiarity with legal drafting software preferred* Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear and compelling legal documents under tight deadlines* Strong negotiation skills coupled with the ability to develop strategic case approaches* Legal administrative experience to efficiently manage case files and maintain accurate records* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a fast-paced legal environmentJoin our team if you are eager to make a meaningful impact through vigorous advocacy and expert legal counsel. xijylhu We value energetic professionals who thrive on challenge and are ready to join a law firm known for its trial excellence.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:* Flexible schedule* Health insurance* Paid time off* Parental leaveWork Location: In person
