*Implementation Engineer, Field Services*Ready to make your application Please do read through the description at least once before clicking on Apply.Translucent Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled *Implementation Engineer* to join our field services team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing expert on-site installation and upgrade services for data storage platforms to our valued government and commercial customers. This position will primarily support clients within a 200-mile radius of Reno, NV, and will also involve regular air travel for assignments across the United States. You will collaborate closely with our support and account teams, as well as directly with customers, to ensure seamless project execution.*Responsibilities:** Perform on-site installation and upgrade of 1 to 5U equipment.* Conduct on-site and remote software setup and upgrades.* Document issues and outline next steps for customer and account teams.* Provide on-site walkthroughs and educate end-users on new hardware and software functionalities.* Coordinate effectively with our internal team to verify availability and schedule jobs.*Required Qualifications** *Ability to travel multiple times per week* throughout the U.S. to customer sites and data centers, including frequent travel within 200 miles of Reno, NV.* Knowledge of *Linux OS*.* Knowledge of *computer networking principles*.* Familiarity with *server hardware*.* Experience working in *IT*.* Excellent *communication skills*.* Strong *customer service orientation*.* High school diploma or equivalent.*Preferred Qualifications** An active DoD Top Secret (TS) or Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance is a plus, but not required.* Current and/or former military experience.* Experience working with government agencies.* Experience as a System Administrator/System Engineer.* Experience as a Storage Administrator/Storage Engineer.* Data Center or "smart hands" experience. xijylhu * Linux Administration certification.Job Type: Full-timePay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceExperience:* Data center: 1 year (Required)Ability to Commute:* Reno, NV (Required)Willingness to travel:* 100% (Required)Work Location: On the road
