This role blends the best of both worlds robust cardiology practice and the exciting rhythm of EP within a respected teaching institution that values teamwork, education, and tradition.As part of our growing Division of Cardiology, you will deliver high-quality care across inpatient and outpatient settings, supporting patients with a broad range of cardiovascular conditions, arrhythmias, and device management needs. You'll work alongside a collegial team of eight Physicians and six APPs, plus residents and fellows.Schedule:Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMEvery 7th weekend clinic coverageEvery 5th weekend inpatient rounding rotationPosition Highlights:Provide comprehensive care for general cardiology and electrophysiology patients.Conduct inpatient consultations, daily rounding, and ongoing patient management.Lead outpatient clinic visits including new evaluations, follow-ups, and device checks.Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, residents, and fellows in an academic environment.Participate in case discussions, patient education, and multidisciplinary coordination.Training available for APPs seeking to grow their electrophysiology skillset.Required Qualifications:Education: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program or Physician Assistant Program; Master's Degree in appropriate fieldCertifications/Licensure: State of Ohio Licensure-Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician AssistantNational Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician AssistantAcute care certification required for Nurse PractitionersMust have a minimum of one year experience in a General Cardiology setting, EP is not required but a plusCOA from the Board of Nursing to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Ohio State Medical Board to practice as a Physician AssistantBLS CertifiedEligible to obtain and/or maintain Certificate to Prescribe/DEABenefits:UTP pension plan with employer contributions.Eligibility for health, dental, vision, and life insurance coveragePaid time off, paid parental and maternity leaveUT provides a Tuition Fee Waiver Program Long Term and Short-Term DisabilityUTP opts out of FICA, reducing the employee's payroll taxesWorking Conditions:Must be able to work flexible hours, shifts, holidays and weekends.
