This position sits at the intersection of strategy, compliance, and collaboration, ensuring vital grant resources are identified, awarded, and effectively administered to support UTAs long-term goals and community impact.As the Grants Development Administrator, you will:Manage UTA procedures for researching, application, administration, performance, and compliance of federal, state, and local grants.Administer Federal Transit Administration and other Federal Agency grants, as well as State and local grant awards, and ensure uninterrupted flow of federal funds.Act as an advisor to management regarding Federal and other types of grants.Assist the Board of Trustees in meeting revenue goals through researching and securing new grants and funding opportunities.Administer UTA transit projects for Federal planning and programming requirements of the Metropolitan Planning Organizations, MAG, and WFRC; and administer grant programs with UDOT and FHWA.Assist with preparing UTAs portion of the Transportation Improvement Programs (TIPs) and the Statewide TIP assembled by UDOT.Coordinate grant activities with other agencies, provide assistance, and act as the primary resource for the Transportation Awards Management System (TrAMS), , and other electronic grant systems.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/TRAINING: Minimum of three years in transportation and/or financial planning, and technical and business proposal writing with demonstrated progressive competence in grant and/or contract procurement. Demonstrated ability in written and verbal communication.Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field with a broad background in grants administration, ability to interpret federal regulations, and technical writing.Must have extensive course work and/or experience in the principles and practices of business management, contract procurement, and have skills conducive to working in a federal grant environment with many agencies. Must have technical research skills.SKILLS/LICENSES: Excellent organization skills. Basic proficiency in operating various computer programs (i.e. TrAMS and systems, Internet Websites and Google, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Business math skills for preparing grant budgets.Must have valid Utah drivers license.
