We're glad you asked!Competitive base salary: $125,000-$150,000 a yearCompetitive base salary, bonuses, and profit-sharing potentialMedical, dental, life, and short/long-term disability insuranceGenerous 401(k) with matchGenerous vacationGenerous paid time off (PTO)Paid company holidaysSummer half-day FridaysFlexible hybrid work schedule (minimum 3 days in office)Clear pathway to advancementSchedule: This position offers a flexible hybrid work schedule, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in the office with flexible hours to accommodate your needs.The experience expected from applicants, as well as additional skills and qualifications needed for this job are listed below.YOUR DAY-TO-DAYAs our Director, Healthcare/Sciences, you will:Provide management, mentoring, and overall team oversight for your respective disciplineManage and oversee overall technical quality and QA/QC processes for the departmentSupervise and manage a team of direct reports and assigned engineers on each project.Collaborate with management staff to maintain scheduling of project deadlines and manpower assignments.Develop and write bid proposals, contracts, cost estimates, etc.Provide deep engineering expertise, guidance, and problem-solving for drawings, designs, specifications, and calculations.Provide hands-on project management by consistently reviewing project plans and timelines to ensure projects are on time and on budget, adjusting manpower and resources as needed.Establish and maintain excellent client relationships, ensuring the highest level of responsiveness and communication.Interact with other department directors to maintain efficient operation of the department.In conjunction with the VP and President, hire (with approval), train, and mentor engineering staff.Write performance appraisals and mediate performance issues.Ensure accurate project accounting, working with accounting to ensure compliance with all protocols.Maintain department budget and revenue projections.Support department marketing efforts related to your area of expertise.Here's what we need from you:Excellent "in-person" communication skillsEligible to work in the US without the need for sponsorshipProfessional Engineer (PE) certification15+ years of progressive engineering and managerial experience in the USExperience in the management and multi-disciplined team of MEP engineers and designersKnowledge of multi-disciplinary engineering, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire protectionProficient with the detailed design for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical/IT systems within the healthcare and life sciences fieldsStrong project management skillsKnowledgeable of local, state, and national code requirements, specifically NFPA and Joint Meeting, FGI, and AHJExperience in load analysis and energy modeling programs such as eQUEST, Trane Trace, ENERGY STAR, and/or Carrier HAPStrong knowledge and utilization of AutoCAD and Revit experience.Good time management, comfortable with frequent deadlines and transitionsExcellent financial management skills and business acumenExcellent Microsoft Office abilitiesAbility to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishAbility to plan and manage projects to achieve client demands and deadlinesAbility to direct and manage the activities of internal and external resourcesAbility to manage and direct the workflow of othersAbility to prioritize as well as multitaskAbility to effectively train and mentor othersAble to work collaboratively within the company as well as with the clientKnowledge of the USGBC LEED Rating system and standards is a plusWHY CHOOSE OUR CLIENT?Ready to take the next step in your career?
