A procedure nurse is a RN that will assist the Vascular - Interventional Radiologist during minimally invasive procedures. Their primary responsibility is ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure, from the pre-procedure assessment and preparation to post procedure care and monitoring. We are looking for candidates that are motivated, compassionate, and are looking to advance their career in a community that is always growing. This position will start per diem and expand as our practice grows this division.Circulating - Procedure Room Nurse (RN) - (Pre, Intra, Post) Per Diem Rate: $45-50 an hour depending on specialty experienceHours: 8-10hrs/shift, one day a week, twice monthly. More hours available as volume buildsJob Type - Per DiemRegistered Nurse Duties Provides patient care before, during and after proceduresPrepare and maintain surgical equipment, ensuring functionality and sterility Performs patient charting in Athena EMR related to procedure eventsPerforms all pre-operative assessments on procedural patients including IV insertions, vitals, medication, and medical history recording and post-procedure discharge Monitors patients pre-operatively, intra-operatively, and post-operatively including but not limited to collaborating with the procedure team, anesthesia Greets family members and keeps them up to date on patient status.Gives discharge instructions to patients and family members.Participates in primary care of procedural patterns as needed and assure clinical area to verify patient needs are met.Respects patient right to privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.Supervises care of the procedure suite to ensure cleanliness, sterility, and operational ability at all times. xijylhu Oversee staff, patients, and vendor traffic to help prevent infection.Maintain Licensure or CertificationBLS CertificationACLS CertificationNew Jersey Board of NursingCME Requirements up to date for licensure or certificationConscious Sedation CertificationInfection Control CertificationAccessing Vascular Device CertificationMinimum Level of Education or Experience RequiredBachelor's Degree or Higher from a four-year college or universityTwo years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
