*Job Summary*Please read the following job description thoroughly to ensure you are the right fit for this role before applying.We are seeking an experienced Title Officer with a minimum of 10 years of industry expertise to oversee and manage real estate title processes. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of mortgage documentation, title searches, and related legal procedures. This role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of ensuring accurate and efficient title clearance, supporting loan transactions, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations. The Title Officer will play a critical role in facilitating smooth property transfers and safeguarding the interests of clients and stakeholders.*Duties** Conduct thorough title searches to verify property ownership and identify any liens, encumbrances, or legal issues.* Review and interpret complex legal documents including contracts, escrow instructions, and mortgage agreements.* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations such as FNMA standards, TILA, Fair Housing laws, and other federal and state guidelines.* Collaborate with underwriters, loan officers, and mortgage servicing teams to facilitate accurate loan processing and underwriting procedures.* Prepare detailed title reports and coordinate with attorneys or title insurance companies to resolve discrepancies or legal issues.* Assist in the preparation of loan packages by verifying all necessary documentation aligns with regulatory requirements.* Maintain meticulous records of all title activities and ensure timely updates in company systems.* Support escrow processes by verifying escrow instructions and ensuring proper disbursement of funds.* Utilize basic math skills and 10-key typing proficiency to process data accurately and efficiently.* Stay informed about changes in mortgage laws, banking regulations, and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.*Qualifications** Minimum of 10 years experience as a Title Officer or in a similar role within the mortgage or financial services industry.* Strong knowledge of FNMA guidelines, underwriting procedures, loan origination processes, and mortgage servicing.* Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations, TILA disclosures, escrow procedures, and contract review.* Proven experience in credit analysis, loan processing, and handling complex legal documents related to real estate transactions.* Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.* Proficiency in basic math calculations, 10-key typing, and familiarity with banking systems or title software platforms.* Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external partners such as attorneys or title insurance providers.* Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance in a fast-paced environment. xijylhu This position offers an opportunity for seasoned professionals to leverage their extensive experience in a vital role that ensures the integrity of property transactions while supporting the overall success of our lending operations.Job Type: Full-timePay: $24.42 - $32.56 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceWork Location: In person
