This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of field data collection, boundary determination, construction layout, and coordination with project management and engineering teams. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong technical background and a proven ability to manage survey crews effectively.*Responsibilities** Lead and supervise a field survey crew to perform boundary, topographic, and construction layout surveys.* Operate and manage surveying instruments, including GPS, total stations, and data collectors.* Interpret engineering plans, specifications, and legal descriptions for accurate field execution.* Conduct field calculations and verify data accuracy for mapping and design.* Prepare detailed field notes, sketches, and reports for office use.* Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure survey deliverables meet project standards.* Ensure compliance with state laws, company procedures, and safety requirements.* Maintain and calibrate survey equipment regularly.*Qualifications** Active *Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)* license in NC and SC.* 1+years of experience in land or construction surveying, including 2+ years as a Party Chief.* Strong knowledge of boundary law, topographic mapping, and construction staking.* Proficient with modern survey and drafting software (Trimble, Leica, Carlson, AutoCAD Civil 3D).* Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. xijylhu * Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.*Benefits** Competitive salary based on experience* Medical, dental, and vision insurance (company-paid at 50%)* Paid time off and holidays* Company vehicle and equipment provided for field operations* Opportunities for professional development and career advancementJob Type: Full-timePay: From $100,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceWork Location: In person
