Ideal for dedicated anesthesiologists seeking flexible shifts and engaging in complex cardiac procedures, this position is essential to maintaining operational excellence while a permanent provider is recruited.Required Skills:Current NJ medical license (must hold)Board certification or eligibility in AnesthesiologyExperience with cardiac and general surgical anesthesia proceduresProficiency in regional anesthesia techniques, including TEE, PA catheter placement, arterial and central linesStrong understanding of ventilator managementAbility to supervise CRNAs effectivelyExcellent communication and teamwork skillsNice to Have Skills:Previous experience in Level II trauma settingsExperience with open heart and thoracic surgeriesFamiliarity with Cerner EMR systemAdditional certifications in advanced cardiac anesthesia techniquesPreferred Education and Experience:Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)Minimum of 2 years of post-residency anesthesia practice, particularly with cardiac casesPrior locum or temporary assignment experience is advantageousOther Requirements:Must be available from March 1 through July 31, 2026Availability for varied shifts, including weekends, nights, and call coverage starting at 7 amTravel reimbursements including hotel, rental car, mileage, and flights providedCredentialing estimated to take 45-60 daysCompensation for this role is competitive, with an hourly pay rate of $0.00 (please inquire for details).
