The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the maintenance and repair of diesel engines, with a focus on tractor-trailers. This role is critical to our operations and requires someone who is mechanically inclined, with a strong understanding of electrical and HVAC systems. The successful applicant will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and performing repairs on our fleet of diesel vehicles.Duties:- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements to ensure the vehicles are in good working order.- Diagnose and repair issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.- Conduct thorough inspections of the vehicles to identify potential problems before they become major issues.- Use schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical systems.- Perform welding and soldering tasks as needed to repair or replace components.- Suspend or lift vehicles using jacks and hoists to access areas that require maintenance or repair.- Collaborate with other technicians to ensure all vehicles are properly serviced and meet safety and regulatory standards.- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including repairs and maintenance tasks.- Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of our fleet and its various components to ensure efficient and cost-effective maintenance and repair.Skills:- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or service technician.- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience with diesel engines.- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.- Proficiency in electrical systems and their repair.- Experience with HVAC systems and their maintenance and repair.- Ability to suspend or lift vehicles using jacks and hoists.- Knowledge of tractor-trailers and their specific maintenance and repair requirements.- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. xijylhu - Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service.Job Type: Full-timePay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Employee discount* Health insurance* Paid time offPeople with a criminal record are encouraged to applyExperience:* Diesel engine repair: 1 year (Required)* Mechanical knowledge: 3 years (Required)Work Location: In person
