You will handle cases mainly in Central and Southern New Jersey.* Handling appearances in Bankruptcy Court and Municipal Court, as required. This includes managing cases that may involve bankruptcy issues or local ordinance violations affecting landlords or property management companies.* Drafting and reviewing legal documents, such as leases, pleadings, pre-litigation correspondence, and court orders. You will play an essential role in the preparation and execution of legal paperwork to support clients through each stage of litigation or negotiation.* Representing clients in housing discrimination law suits.* Collaborating with senior attorneys and clients to strategize and advise on legal matters, ensuring the best possible outcomes for clients in every case.* Participating in client consultations, providing legal advice, and maintaining professional client relationships.* Appeals.*Qualifications:** A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and an active New Jersey state bar license.* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal issues and provide practical solutions for clients.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents and represent clients effectively in court.* Prior experience with landlord-tenant law or in real estate-related legal matters is highly preferred but not required.* Ability to manage a diverse caseload and meet deadlines efficiently, demonstrating strong organizational and multitasking abilities.* A team-oriented attitude, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small, tight-knit firm.We are looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional legal representation.
