The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the maintenance and repair of diesel engines and heavy equipment. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely.*Responsibilities** Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.* Perform A service and B services timely.* Assist with New Driver Preps and Decoms.* Proper documentation on services completed.* Diagnose mechanical issues using automotive diagnostics.* Conduct repairs on transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and more* Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and fabrication tasks.* Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.* Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their equipment needs.* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and DOT regulations while performing maintenance tasks.* Assist in the assembly and disassembly of machinery as required.*Requirements** Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role within automotive or heavy equipment repair.* Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.* Familiarity with various types of tractors- Freightliners and International* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic tools.* Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting purposes.* Experience with electrical systems is a plus; soldering skills are desirable.* Capability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.* Strong communication skills for effective customer interaction. xijylhu Join our team of dedicated professionals where your skills will be valued, and your contributions will make a difference!Job Type: Full-timePay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Health savings account* Life insurance* Paid time off* Referral program* Retirement plan* Tuition reimbursement* Vision insuranceAbility to Commute:* Kansas City, KS 66106 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Kansas City, KS 66106: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)Work Location: In person
