Hands on work leader for commercial/marine coating applications. Direct, oversee and participate in surface preparation, application of paint including brush, rolling and spray techniques, and general labor tasks for all projects. Marine surface preparation/coating experience preferred over commercial/residential, but all experience will be considered. Composite paint experience highly desired.be able to work a flexible schedule with some evening or 2nd shift work along with some weekend time. All major coating events (spray events) are accomplished after normal working hours or on weekends. Schedules are typically outlined in advance and can be planned for; however, it is expected that the work lead participates and is present for all events. Flexibility and willingness to support production is crucial for this role.NACE or SSPC certification desired (or ability to obtain within a reasonable time frame) but not required.Prior supervisor experience required. Skilled in directing and coordinating the work of others, and able to effectively communicate with management, other work leaders, and direct reports.Must have strong commitment towards safety and working safe.Must have good interpersonal skills and ability to get along with various personnel and work as a member of a team.Basic computer literacy skills required. Ability to read and send emails (Outlook) and have basic working knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications (Word, Powerpoint, Excel).*Specifics: *Marine/Commercial airless spray-painting experience with two-part epoxy paint is highly desired for this role. Metal surface preparation experience is required.
