As a Transmission Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automotive transmission systems to ensure optimal vehicle performance. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of transmission systems, mechanical skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality service.*Responsibilities:** Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with transmission systems in cars, trucks, and other vehicles.* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on transmission systems including fluid changes, filter replacements, and other preventative measures.* Rebuild and replace faulty transmissions or components.* Inspect, test, and identify worn or damaged parts in transmission systems.* Provide clear and accurate repair estimates for customers.* Communicate with customers about transmission issues, solutions, and costs.* Ensure all work complies with industry safety standards and company policies.* Maintain a clean and organized work environment.* Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in automotive transmission systems.*Qualifications:** Proven experience as a Transmission Technician or in a similar role in the automotive repair industry.* Strong knowledge of transmission systems and mechanical repairs.* ASE Certification (Automotive Service Excellence) is preferred, but not required.* Ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues.* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.* Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.* Valid driver's license and clean driving record.* High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in automotive technology is a plus.*Physical Requirements:** Ability to lift heavy parts and equipment (up to 50 lbs).* Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.*Benefits:** Competitive salary based on experience.* Health, dental, and vision insurance.* Paid time off (PTO).* Retirement savings plan. xijylhu * Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.Job Type: Full-timeExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceLicense/Certification:* Driver's License (Required)Ability to Commute:* Tipton, IN 46072 (Required)Work Location: In person
