The ideal candidate will provide expert legal counsel and representation in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, adoption, and related issues. This role requires a strong understanding of various legal areas, exceptional research and writing skills, and the ability to manage complex cases with professionalism and compassion. The Family Law Attorney will play a vital role in advocating for clients' rights while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.*Responsibilities** Represent clients in family law cases such as divorce, child custody, visitation rights, child support, and adoption proceedings.* Conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis to support case strategies.* Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, agreements, and court filings with precision and clarity.* Negotiate settlements to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.* Manage a caseload efficiently while maintaining detailed case records and adhering to deadlines.* Collaborate with colleagues within the law office to develop case strategies and ensure comprehensive client service.* Attend court hearings, mediations, and client meetings as required to advocate effectively on behalf of clients.*Qualifications** Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.* Admission to the state bar with active licensing.* Proven experience practicing family law with familiarity in litigation processes.* Strong research skills.* Excellent legal drafting and writing skills with attention to detail.* Demonstrated negotiation abilities to resolve disputes amicably when possible.* Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly to clients.
