Our goal is to help customers reduce energy costs, lower carbon emissions, and increase energy independence.*Position Overview*We are seeking a *Field Technician Team Leader - Heat Pump Projects* to support our Smart Heating & Cooling Division. This role focuses on the installation and commissioning of air-to-air and geothermal heat pump systems in residential and small commercial environments. The Team Leader will manage a small crew, perform hands-on installation work, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.Responsibilities* Lead and manage a field installation crew of 2-3 technicians* Oversee job site operations, tools, and safety compliance* Coordinate schedules and installation updates with project management* Install and commission heat pump systems, including performance testing* Install indoor and outdoor HVAC components, ductwork, condensate systems, refrigerant lines, and geothermal loop systems* Ensure EPA compliance for refrigerant handling* Complete QA checklists and project closeout documentation* Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer satisfactionQualifications* Universal EPA Section 608 Certification (required)* Minimum 2 years of experience installing and commissioning heat pump systems (air-to-air and/or geothermal)* Strong knowledge of HVAC electrical wiring, low-voltage controls, and refrigerant charging* Experience using commissioning tools and smart thermostats* Comfortable using mobile apps and digital documentation tools* Valid Class D driver's license* Proven leadership and communication skillsPreferred Experience* Geothermal loop installation and flushing* Electrical service work or HVAC controls integration* Military or technical trades background* Smart thermostat and app-based system setup* Experience with energy-efficient or sustainable building systemsBenefits* Full-time position* 401(k) with employer match (eligible after one year)* Paid time off* Company vehicle for team leads* Top-quality tools and equipment* Training and mentorship from experienced HVAC and renewable energy technicians* Long-term career development roadmap* Supportive, mission-driven team environmentWork Location* In-person role based in Bainbridge, NY* Travel to nearby job sites (up to 90 minutes)*IGS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.* Employment is contingent upon successful background check and drug screening. xijylhu Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.Job Type: Full-timePay: $29.00 - $35.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Employee discount* Paid time off* Referral programExperience:* Heat pump installation: 2 years (Required)* Leadership: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:* Universal EPA Section 608 Certification (Required)Ability to Commute:* Bainbridge, NY 13733 (Required)Work Location: In person
