Job Title: Automotive Mechanic "Jerry Smith Chevrolet"Find out more about this role by reading the information below, then apply to be considered.Job Overview:Join our team as an Automotive Mechanic where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing vehicles. As an Automotive Mechanic we will provide required training from General Motors so you may utilize those skills to perform high level repairs and maintenance on Customer & newly arriving inventory. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, including dealership settings, where you will work on a variety of automotive systems.Responsibilities:- Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks to ensure vehicles are in optimal condition- Utilize mechanical knowledge & OEM training/tools to diagnose and repair automotive issues efficiently- Work on automotive electrical systems, including EV/Hybrid vehicles to troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems- Maintain and repair vehicles according to manufacturer guidelines- Utilize welding skills when necessary for repairs- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to guide repair processes- Focus on powertrain components to ensure proper functioning- Provide exceptional automotive service to customers- Collaborate with team members to achieve department goalsExperience:- Preferred ASE certification with on-going GM Technician training.- Proven experience in automotive service and repair- Strong understanding of automotive repair techniques and best practices- Familiarity with dealership operations is a plus- Ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams effectively- Proficiency in maintaining and repairing various vehicle typesSkills:- Vehicle maintenance including ASE Certification and/or GM Training path established.- Mechanical knowledge- Automotive electrical systems- Welding skills- Understanding of dealership operations- Ability to interpret schematics- Knowledge of powertrain componentsIf you are a skilled Automotive Mechanic with a passion for vehicle maintenance and repair, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity. xijylhu Join our team and contribute your expertise to ensure top-notch automotive service delivery.Job Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 - $31.24 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* Continuing education credits* Employee discount* Health insurance* On-the-job trainingSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Monday to FridayAbility to Commute:* Anacortes, WA 98221 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Anacortes, WA 98221: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
