AVEKA is seeking a maintenance technician with a background in electrical systems to join our Maintenance team! This role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, trouble shooting equipment issues, and ensure safe, efficient operation of all facility systems.Ensure you read the information regarding this opportunity thoroughly before making an application.*Duties and Responsibilities:** Adhere to all established AVEKA safety, LO/TO (Lockout/Tagout), Food safety, GMP, HACCP, and Processing policies* Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.* Conduct routine preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems* Install, maintain and/or repair: motors, pumps, sensors, wiring, breakers etc.* Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals* Perform electrical troubleshooting on 480V/240V systems.* Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to create, track and close work orders. Also use this software to log maintenance activities and update equipment records.* Assist with building maintenance tasks, including HVAC, plumbing, lighting and general repairs.* Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to improve equipment reliability.* Be available for scheduled after-hours work as well as emergency situations that may arise at any time.* Other duties as assigned.*Education and/or Experience:** _High School diploma required_* _3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience._* _Experience with load cells, weight displays, metal detectors, pneumatic cylinders, variable frequency drive wiring and parameter entering, bag sealer knowledge, and conveyors._* _Recognition that maintenance work can happen in a wide variety of spaces. xijylhu Must perform careful planning, performance, and cleanup of work_* Knowledge in 480V/240V systems*PHYSICAL DEMANDS** *Mobility:* ability to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and ramps; not be afraid of heights; walk or stand for extended periods of time* *Lifting*: ability to lift and hold 75 pounds, frequently lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects up to 50 pounds* *Dexterity:* must have a full range of motion in the upper extremities; manual dexterity to operate equipment and hand tools; ability to work for extended periods with arms above head*WORK ENVIRONMENT** Be available for scheduled shift work, M-F 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.* Overtime may be required* Inside and outside buildings-working in temperatures that range from heated and cooled rooms to outside temperatures of hot and cold* Some areas may be poorly ventilated or heavily congested* Periodic exposure to chemicals, cleaning agents, dust and fumes.* Required to work in restricted places which may require stooping, bending and kneeling* Buildings and grounds are smoke freeJob Type: Full-timeExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Employee assistance program* Flexible spending account* Health insurance* Health savings account* Life insurance* Paid time off* Referral program* Vision insuranceAbility to Commute:* Waukon, IA 52172 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Waukon, IA 52172: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
