We are based in Houston, Texas; however, our trial focused practice handles cases nationwide.The job responsibilities would focus on attending hearings, writing, discovery and assisting with docket management.*Job Description** Plans case development by studying case information, conferring with other attorneys;* Research law, utilizing precedent and reasoning* Persuasive Writing; writing motions, briefs and appeals* Manage cases by monitoring schedules; expediting requirements; obtaining and forwarding information* Helps clients by initiating and maintaining contact; preparing clients to answer discovery, keeping clients informed of case status.* Support attorneys at trial and hearings, by organizing evidence and exhibits; taking notes; scheduling witnesses; discussions.* Strong writing and legal analysis skills* Litigation experience* Understanding of medical terminology* Position will be required to make Court appearances, attend depositions, draft pleadings and discovery* Salary* Percentage of recovered fees* Full staff of paralegal & legal secretary* Highly organized* Motivated, hard worker* Intelligent and willing to learn* Attention to detailThe compensation package consists of a salary and a percentage of the recovery on the files you resolve and files you generate.
