They will also staff the Dive Shop, slide dispatch and pool gates. This internship is a full-time , two-month commitment, between the months of May 2026 through September 2026. Responsibilities : Ensure the safety of Guests, may be a first responder to emergency situationsWelcoming cabana Guests and providing a sense of arrivalMaintain overall upkeep of all cabanasAssist with clearing pool deck of used towels, lifejackets, and trashPolitely ensure adherence to rules and safety guidelines in the Recreation locationsGreet Guests with positive, friendly and helpful attitudeProactively address guest needs by answering questions, giving directions and other information regarding the hotel/resort or surrounding areasFrequent walking/standing/pushing/pullingFrequent bending/twisting and kneelingFrequent use of handsStrong observational skills to proactively identify Guest needs and ensure safety guidelines are being followedWorks indoors and outdoors in all kinds of weather including extreme temperatures and high humidity Basic Qualifications : Currently enrolled or graduated within six months of application submission, in an accredited college/university.Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program.Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work.Flexible/Adaptable-may work in a variety of areas, conditions and/or have changing start/end timesStrong verbal communication skills able to positively engage with guests, team members and managementEnthusiastic about interacting with, assisting, and receptive to all guestsProactive in anticipating guest needsMust be able to complete repetitive tasks while maintaining qualityResponsible and matureEnergetic and comfortable giving and taking feedbackProlonged standing for two to three hours at a time and heavy lifting may be requiredYou must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a Hotel/Resort environmentPrevious cabana or pool service experienceKnowledgeable about Resort and surrounding areasKnowledge of Hawaiian/Japanese language preferredPrevious experience in hospitality or tourism related role on the Hawaiian Islands preferred Additional Information : SCHEDULE AVAILABILTYSummer Casual Temporary - Full availability is required seven (7) days per week, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
