Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Provide expert nursing care in an acute stepdown unit, focusing on comprehensive assessment, coordination, and evaluation of patients needs. This role emphasizes delivering individualized, holistic care that integrates psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle considerations. The position requires effective communication and collaboration with patients, their families, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure seamless transitions and quality outcomes.Responsibilities:Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop coordinated care plans tailored to each patient's unique needsDeliver direct patient care with attention to physical and emotional well-beingEducate patients and families regarding health conditions and care plansFacilitate smooth transitions of care within the healthcare continuumMaintain timely, clear communication among healthcare providers and support systemsFloat as needed across all campuses within the healthcare system based on census demandsQualifications:Current CA Registered Nurse licensure (RN)BLS certification by the American Heart AssociationNIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certificationMinimum of 2 years experience in a stepdown or similar acute care settingFlexibility to work a rotating weekend schedule and float mid-shift as necessarySchedule:Three 12-hour day shifts per week (07:00 - 19:30) with weekend rotations includedLocation:Situated in vibrant San Francisco, this role offers exposure to a dynamic urban healthcare environment with access to world-class cultural, recreational, and dining experiences.
