Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A full-time Registered Nurse position is available at a school located in Mebane, NC, approximately 45 minutes north of Durham. This role involves providing specialized one-on-one nursing care for a 5th-grade female student with complex medical needs. The student requires feeding via a gastrostomy tube (G-tube), respiratory monitoring, and assistance related to being non-verbal and nearly blind.Key Responsibilities:- Deliver individualized nursing care during school hours from 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM.- Monitor respiratory status and manage emergency situations as needed.- Administer feedings and medications through a G-tube according to prescribed protocols.- Collaborate with educational staff and families to support the students health and educational goals.- Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with school and regulatory standards.Qualifications and Experience:- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.- Experience working in school nursing or pediatric nursing preferred.- Competence in managing respiratory care and G-tube feeding in a school setting.- Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.- Compassionate approach to care, especially for non-verbal and visually impaired students.Location:- Mebane, North Carolina- Situated about 45 minutes north of DurhamThis is a contract position designed for a nurse who is ready to make a meaningful impact and is available for immediate interviews. xijylhu If you are an experienced RN interested in a rewarding school-based nursing role with specialized care responsibilities, consider applying today to take the next step in your nursing career.
