This role performs a variety of clerical and administrative payroll functions and works closely with HR and Finance to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. Looking for an immediate start!Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProcess employee timecards and timesheets on a weekly basisAssist with end-to-end payroll processing for hourly and salaried employeesProcess new hires, terminations, employment verifications, and related documentationMaintain employee payroll records, including authorized deductions and changesProcess payroll authorizations and updatesMaintain and manage direct deposit systemsPrepare, generate, and distribute payroll-related reports, including reports required for employee benefitsEnsure payroll data accuracy and confidentiality at all timesAdditional DutiesMaintain payroll and computer-related suppliesPerform general payroll clerical tasks as neededCarry out other duties as assigned by managementRequired Qualifications3-4 years of experience in payroll or accountingProficient typing skills (minimum 45 WPM)10-key by touchStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)Experience with AS/400 systems preferredAbility to operate standard office equipmentAbility to occasionally lift up to 40 poundsPreferred Skills and CompetenciesStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to meet strict deadlinesStrong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to handle sensitive and confidential informationEffective communication and teamwork skillsAdditional Information:Job Type: Direct-hire Opportunity Salary: $25.00 - $26.44 per hour (approximately $52,000 - $55,000 annually)Location: Honolulu, HI, in-office positionParking: not providedSchedule: Full time (40 hours/week), Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMBenefits: Great Benefits package!Bishop & Company provides recruiting and placement services for client companies and opportunities for job seekers throughout Hawaii.
