Job Description

Position OverviewThe Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all engineering and technical aspects of assigned projects to assure the highest level of accuracy and quality. You will review drawings and specifications, assemble and maintain project documentation, and assist with project planning and execution. You will assist the Project Manager and other project stakeholders with project requirements including but not limited to, complying with QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.Compensation depends on experience.Job ResponsibilitiesUtilize Procore and other similar platforms to access, update, and maintain project documentation to meet project requirements.Project Planning and CoordinationAssist with project kickoff tasks such as issuing formal contracts and collecting required documentation for contract compliance.Document ControlReview and process submittals, RFIs, drawings, specifications, etc.Assist PM with organizing and maintaining project documentation in digital and physical formats.Create and maintain logs for tracking important items.Coordinate/facilitate meetings with subs, vendors and other stakeholders and maintain meeting minutes.Travel to and from job sites intermittently as needed to inspect/investigate and ensure project compliance.Assist with subcontractor and vendor coordination to meet project schedules.Ensure company Safety policies and procedures are followed on job sites.Project CloseoutsAssist with final close out of assigned projects including assembling O&M Manuals and as-built drawings. Coordinate Owner Training sessions in compliance with project specifications.Learn new technologies employed by the company to support business goals and objectives.Other tasks as assigned.Find out if this opportunity is a good fit by reading all of the information that follows below.The successful candidate will have the following traits:Good understanding of Mechanical, HVAC and Plumbing systems.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.Professional interpersonal skills with a positive "can-do" attitude.Strong communication and organizational skills.Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.Proficiency in Procore is highly desirable.Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.Able to identify work scope changes and create detailed change order requests w/PM.Strong work ethic. Willing to put in the extra effort to learn and grow into a rewarding career.Education RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED acceptable.Bachelor's degree in building science, construction management, or engineering and/or equivalent work experience, preferred.ExperienceMinimum two (2) years' experience working in a support role within the Construction Industry.Experience working both independently and in a team environment. xijylhu OSHA certifications desired.
