North American Controller -Entertainment Industry Our client, who is the #1 leader in their field, is looking to add a North American Controller to their steadily growing organization! About the Company working as a Controller: PE owned Entertainment group that has been in business for 30+ years Considered one of the biggest entertainment groups in the world operating close to 50 venues, bringing in $600+ million annually in box office sales They have been a part of numerous Tony awards Grew from one of the smallest groups 5 years ago, to being considered a top 5 entertainment group today Operating on a hybrid schedule in Midtown Manhattan, offer great benefits including free shows! Responsibilities of the Controller: Oversee the month-end closing process for the North American operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting policies and procedures. Play a critical role in the selection and implementation of a new ERP within the next 1-2years Collaborate with the external CPA/tax firm on planning, compliance, and reporting matters specific to the North American operations. Provide necessary financial data and documentation for tax filings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to tax regulations. Supervise and provide guidance to two direct reports who manage teams of 4-6 individuals each within the North American division. Qualifications of the Controller: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA designation is highly preferred. Proven experience (7-10+ years) in financial accounting, month-end close, and external audit processes. Proficiency in financial software systems and advanced knowledge of MS Excel. ERP Implementation experience a major plus (Navision OR Microsoft Dynamics)
