ProHealth is seeking an Associate Patient Care Coordinator to join our growing Family Medicine team.This position will support the care team and its patients by greeting and checking in patients, scheduling appointments, answering telephone inquiries, collecting payments and maintaining demographic information. Additionally, they will routinely use the electronic health record (HER) according to ProHealth policies.Hours (40 hours): 8 hours shift Monday - Friday between 7am - 6:15pm EST; may need to provide coverage for other nearby locationsLocation: 599 Farmington Avenue, Suite 101, Farmington, CTPrimary Responsibilities:Schedule and triage appointment requests for urgency according to approved protocols consistent with ProHealth's Appointment and Scheduling GuidelinesUse call processing and other applicable functionality in the EHR to take messages and communicate with cliniciansGreet patients and conduct check-in processMonitor daily reminder call logs to reschedule appointments as neededScan and index documents into the EHR; ensure that necessary documents, lab results, etc. are available in advance of patient visitsClose payment batch(es) at the end of each shift, assemble and balance batch(es) according to ProHealth cash control proceduresMaintain knowledge of current OSHA, HIPAA, and ProHealth policiesAssist coworkers as needed to ensure smooth office operation and delivery of excellent service through teamworkProvide coverage at other ProHealth locations on an ad hoc basisPerform other duties as assignedWhat are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group?
