Roles & ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality perioperative nursing care across ortho, neuro and general casesCoordinate and manage 1:1 patient care in the operating room to ensure safety and optimal outcomesAccurately document care and case details using Cerner and SurginetCollaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and OR techs to run efficient case flowRespond to call assignments within a 30-minute window and manage emergent needs calmlyFollow and use preference cards to standardize case setup and instrumentationParticipate in trauma and CVOR team responses when requiredSupport charge RN with assignments and handoffs to maintain team continuity QualificationsActive Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable stateMinimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (perioperative or acute care experience preferred)Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications requiredComfortable working with OR technology and teams including CSTsExperience charting in Cerner and familiarity with Surginet is a strong plusAbility to respond to call within 30 minutes and work rotating weekend coverageWillingness to complete unit-specific orientation (about 1 week or until comfortable) EducationActive RN license; BSN preferred but not required Knowledge & SkillsSolid knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and OR proceduresSkilled in patient monitoring and maintaining 1:1 patient ratios in the ORFamiliarity with ventilator management and working alongside RT teamsProficient documentation skills in electronic medical records (Cerner)Ability to use preference cards and support efficient case turnoverComfort collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, anesthesia, pharmacy and sterile processing BenefitsA supportive team that values YOU and your perioperative expertiseComprehensive medical, dental & vision plans to keep you healthyPaid time off so you can recharge between casesLicensure assistance and certification reimbursement to help you growProfessional development and trauma/OR specialty training opportunitiesFlexible scheduling options and reliable 40-hour guaranteed weeksWell-equipped OR environment with dedicated CVOR and trauma teamsA culture that recognizes great work and encourages work-life balance Travel Perks: Explore Long Beach, CA Long Beach is a great mix of beach life and city amenities.
