Roles & ResponsibilitiesProvide expert, compassionate critical care to post-op and complex cardiac, thoracic and vascular patients in a high-acuity CVICUManage and titrate vasoactive drips, sedatives, paralytics and antiarrhythmics safely and accuratelyMonitor and interpret telemetry and hemodynamics, responding promptly to changes in patient statusCare for patients supported by advanced devices (ECMO, CRRT, Impella, IABP) and manage ventilator-related troubleshootingCollaborate closely with intensivists, hospitalists and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care 24/7Document thoroughly and efficiently in EPIC to maintain patient safety and continuity of careFloat to other inpatient units as needed (excluding Maternity/NICU) while maintaining CVICU standardsDemonstrate competency during orientation and skills checks to ensure safe, high-quality care QualificationsActive RN license eligible for practice in NebraskaBLS and ACLS required; NIHSS required as listedMinimum 2 years of RN experience (with at least 1 year caring for CVICU/cardiac ICU patients preferred)Comfort and experience titrating drips/vasopressors and interpreting complex telemetry independentlyHands-on experience with ECMO, CRRT, Impella and/or IABP strongly preferredFamiliarity with ventilator management and advanced respiratory support troubleshootingMust have a valid driver’s license at time of submittal (radius/commute policy applies)Willingness to complete orientation skills assessments (open-book exam; 90% pass threshold) EducationAssociate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred but not requiredActive RN license in good standing Knowledge & SkillsHemodynamic monitoring and interpretationTelemetry reading and arrhythmia recognitionMechanical circulatory support principles (ECMO, Impella, IABP)Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) basicsAdvanced post-op cardiac and vascular careMedication titration and drip managementVentilator basics and respiratory troubleshootingProficient documentation in EPIC and strong communication with multidisciplinary teams BenefitsTravel-friendly housing assistance and settling-in support to make your move easyMedical, dental & vision coverage to keep you and your family healthy401K retirement savings plan so you can save for the futureLife insurance and additional protection for peace of mindPaid time off to recharge — because rest mattersLicensure support and reimbursement to help keep your credentials currentProfessional development and training opportunities, including EPIC competencyA supportive, high-performing team that values your expertise and growthReferral program to reward you for bringing great people aboard Travel Perks: Explore Omaha, NE Omaha is a welcoming Midwestern hub with plenty to explore on off shifts.
