Roles & ResponsibilitiesProvide expert, compassionate labor and delivery care for high-risk and routine pregnanciesPerform continuous fetal monitoring and interpret fetal heart rate patterns to guide timely interventionsCirculate for cesarean sections and assist with surgical procedures including D&C and cervical cerclageAssist with vaginal deliveries and support complex, high-risk deliveries when neededAdminister and titrate critical medications including magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, and antihypertensives safelyCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams including anesthesia, pharmacy, respiratory, and rapid response for excellent patient outcomesDocument care accurately in Epic and maintain unit standards for charting and patient handoffsMaintain assigned patient ratios (1:1 or 1:2) and provide focused bedside care for neonates and adults QualificationsActive RN license appropriate for practice in California (pending licenses are not accepted)Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required — no first-time travelersRequired certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN IntermediateAWHONN Advanced preferredMust have prior travel experience and be able to circulate for C-sectionComfortable working in a very high-risk L&D unit with diverse pregnancy diagnosesAbility to meet RTO requirements at time of submittal EducationGraduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred.
