This role requires a highly skilled nurse who is competent across Antepartum, Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Nursery, and Outpatient OB services. Candidates must meet all experience and scheduling requirements to be considered.Unit Scope:AntepartumLabor & DeliveryPostpartumNurseryOutpatient testingSchedule Requirements:Must be flexible and able to work any shift, with preference for nightsRequired to work 80 hours every 2 weeks (no exceptions)Holiday coverage requiredResponsibilities:Provide care to antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and high-risk OB patientsManage laboring patients including VBAC, GDM, PIH, PROM, PTL, placenta previa, cord prolapse, and abruptionMonitor and interpret fetal heart rate tracings and communicate findings to providersAdminister and titrate medications including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and insulin dripsAssist with epidurals and intrathecal anesthesiaSupport vaginal deliveries and C-sections, including newborn care and recoveryPerform newborn assessments, APGAR scoring, PKU collection, phototherapy, and resuscitation when neededStart adult and neonatal IVs, perform accu-checks, and assist with circumcisionsUtilize IUPC, internal scalp electrodes, amnioinfusion, Cytotec, and assist with external cephalic versionsFloat to other departments as needed based on censusEquipment & Technology:Avalon fetal monitoring systemPyxis medication dispensing systemInfant warmers and neonatal respiratory equipmentPhototherapy beds and overhead unitsAdult and neonatal crash cartsVital signs monitoring equipmentPaper charting environmentRequirements:Active Hawaii RN license (must be active by start of assignment)Minimum of 2 years recent experience in:Labor & DeliveryPostpartum (Couplet Care)NurseryAbility to independently manage high-risk OB and neonatal patientsWillingness to float and work varied shiftsRequired Certifications:BLSACLSNRPSTABLEFetal Monitoring (FM) certificationDress Code:Standard nursing scrubsSpecialty:NursingSub-Specialties:Labor & DeliveryObstetricsPostpartumAntepartumNurseryAdditional Information:Holiday coverage requiredPre-employment and compliance requirements must be completed prior to startCandidates must meet the minimum qualifications and hold the required certifications to be eligible for application.
