This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving service revenue, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, and developing a high-performing team of technicians and advisors.We are looking for a leader who understands dealership operations, values a strong team culture, and is committed to delivering a top-tier ownership experience for our customers.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all aspects of the GM service department, including scheduling, workflow, and daily operationsLead, coach, and develop service advisors, technicians, and support staffMonitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as labor sales, effective labor rate, gross profit, and customer satisfaction (CSI)Ensure efficient dispatching and shop productivity while maintaining quality standardsHandle escalated customer concerns and ensure timely, professional resolutionMaintain compliance with General Motors policies, warranty procedures, and dealership standardsCollaborate with parts and sales departments to ensure seamless operations and communicationManage departmental expenses, forecasting, and budgetingRecruit, hire, and retain top talent within the service departmentMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentQualificationsPrevious experience as a Service Manager or Assistant Service Manager in a dealership setting (GM experience preferred)Strong leadership and team-building skillsProven track record of improving service department performance and profitabilityExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to analyze reports and use data to drive decisionsStrong organizational and problem-solving abilitiesFamiliarity with dealership management systemsValid drivers license with acceptable driving recordWhat Success Looks LikeA well-organized, efficient shop with strong technician productivityHigh customer satisfaction scores and repeat businessA positive, accountable team cultureConsistent growth in service revenue and profitabilityBenefitsMedical and DentalVision InsuranceLife Insurance401K PlanPaid TrainingEmployee discounts on products and servicesRequiredPreferredJob IndustriesOther
