JOB TITLE: Legal AssistantJOB SUMMARY: The legal assistant with a minimum of 5 years of experience will provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to 3 attorneys (1 in office and 2 remote), ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.KEY RESPONSIBILITITES:Legal Document Preparation: Draft, revise, and proofread legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and correspondence.Case Management: Assist in managing case files, document production, and trial preparation, ensuring all deadlines are met.Calendar Management: Maintain and update attorneys calendars, scheduling appointments, hearings, and court dates.Filing and Record-Keeping: Ensure all legal documents and records are organized, filed and maintained in compliance with firm procedures and legal regulations.Billing and Time Entry: Assist with timekeeping and invoicing, as well as submitting and tracking expenses related to the case.Administrative Support: Handle general office tasks such as answering phones, managing emails, submitting attorney travel reimbursement.Confidentiality: Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of 3 years of experience as a legal assistant. Knowledge of legal terminology, processes, and procedures.Proficiency in legal research, document management, and legal software.Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
