Job summaryThe General Utility Maintenance worker installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in the facility by performing the following duties:ResponsibilitiesPerform work provided in Work Order format from Maintenance DepartmentMakes suggestions for improvements and preventive maintenance reportingVisually inspects, tests and repairs machinery and equipment as scheduledObserves machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose or repair machine.Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.Installs and repairs electrical equipment, pipe and plumbing systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipmentKnowledge of 24VDC-48VDC, 110VAC, 208VAC, 220VAC, 277VAC, and 480VAC electrical systemsLeave the site clean after completing a job or service callRepairs and maintains physical structure of establishment, including drywall repair and paintingMoves furniture and equipmentSecures building for closureOperates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.Set up meeting rooms as required, assist in housekeeping duties when neededRemove Snow and Ice from sidewalks during icing conditions / inclement weatherPerforms a variety of semi-skilled troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance duties related to facilities and buildingsProvide effective communications between other department and supervisors to support the company's goalsComply with Bath Fitter Manufacturing's health and safety standardsBe fully engaged in the Continuous Improvement programsAbility to accept responsibility of results and be held accountableRegular and reliable attendance is a mustAbide by all Bath Fitter policies and proceduresAdhere to all safety policies and proceduresPerform other duties assignedQualificationsTo perform this successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
