*Overview*We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Memory Care Director to lead our memory care program. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality care for residents with Alzheimer's, dementia, and other cognitive impairments. The Memory Care Director will oversee daily operations, ensuring that our residents receive the best possible support while fostering a nurturing environment for both residents and staff.*Duties** Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents, focusing on their unique needs and preferences.* Supervise and manage staff in the memory care unit, providing training and support to ensure high standards of care.* Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and community resources to enhance resident care and well-being.* Monitor resident health and behavior, adjusting care plans as necessary to meet changing needs.* Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to memory care services.* Oversee budgeting and financial management within the memory care department.* Foster a positive environment that encourages social interaction and engagement among residents.* Maintain open communication with families regarding resident progress and any concerns.*Skills** Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home settings, specifically in memory care or dementia care.* Strong background in senior care management, including long-term care experience.* Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team development and supervision.* Knowledge of medication administration practices and compliance standards.* Familiarity with operations management, including budgeting and financial acumen.* Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.* Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with residents, families, and staff members.* Ability to create a supportive environment that respects the dignity of each resident while promoting their independence.Job Type: Full-timePay: $62,500.00 per yearBenefits:* Dental insurance* Flexible schedule* Health insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceAbility to Commute:* Vergennes, VT 05491 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Vergennes, VT 05491: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
