*Submit all resumes and cover letters to Ben Owen at . **Position: *Director of Handbell Ministry (part-time, _*Sundays required*_)*General Description*The Director of Handbell Ministry will recruit, assemble, plan, rehearse, and conduct the handbell ministries at Hyde Park Community United Methodist Church, namely the existing Carillon Choir and any future handbell ensembles. The Director of Handbell Ministry will report to the Director of Music Ministries and collaborate closely with the entire Music Ministry team to create musical worship experiences that reflect the holistic music ministry of Hyde Park Community UMC.*Staff Commitments*Commitment to Christian faithCommitment to the mission of Hyde Park Community United Methodist ChurchCommitment to team ministryCommitment to excellence in all areas of responsibility*Responsibilities** Recruiting new and experienced participants and teaching healthy ringing techniques.* Developing a Sunday morning presentation and Monday night rehearsal schedule for the Carillon Choir including occasional collaboration with other ensembles in the Music Ministry.* Leading weekly rehearsals and conducting the choir in worship appearances at least once per month between September and June.* Planning and group participation in special handbell gatherings and events.* Active involvement in Music Ministry team meetings and initiatives.* Examine possibilities of establishing a children or youth handbell ensemble.*Qualifications and Skills** Demonstrated passion and experience in playing, selecting, teaching, and directing sacred handbell music.* Ensemble managerial skills in goal setting, planning, and implementation processes.* Proven ability to appeal to a wide range of worship styles.* Proven ability to engage staff and congregational leaders as well as music ministry and worship participants in an uplifting, ministerial manner*Accountability*The Director of Handbell Ministry will:* Be a committed part of the Music Ministry Team and report to the Director of Music Ministries as noted in the Organization Chart as outlined in the Strategic Plan, Inclusivity Statement, and Employee Handbook.* Work in alignment to the mission of HPC & The United Methodist Church.* Demonstrate commitment to team ministry including trust, engagement, commitment to plan of action, accountability, achievement of collective goals/results.* Demonstrate commitment to excellence in all areas of responsibility.Job Type: Part-timeAbility to Commute:* Cincinnati, OH 45208 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Cincinnati, OH 45208: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)Work Location: In person
