Key Responsibilities Planning & StrategyDevelop and implement Configuration Management (CM) plans, policies, and procedures aligned with business objectives and project requirements.Support the creation and continuous improvement of tools and business processes that enable effective configuration management.Configuration Identification & ControlReview engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications, bills of materials (BOMs), and other technical documents in conjunction with reviewing contract requirements, terms and conditions.Accurately input, update, and manage configuration data within engineering and manufacturing systems.Build and validate BOMs for new products and verify BOMs for legacy work.Configuration Audits & ComplianceEnsure all configuration data aligns precisely with contract requirements and technical documentation.Maintain data integrity and accuracy across the entire product lifecycle.Identify and resolve discrepancies in technical documentation.Collaboration & CommunicationWork closely with lead specialists, engineers, and other stakeholders to clarify technical requirements.Produce clear, detailed written plans and overviews of configuration management strategies.Continuous ImprovementAnalyze configuration management metrics and recommend opportunities to improve processes, tools, and data accuracy.Marginal DutiesSpecification testing per customer and certification requirements.Perform other duties as assigned for the good of the department and company.Be actively engaged in the department’s 6S program and complete all necessary paperwork.Ability to maintain regular, punctual, and reliable attendance as set by the supervisor according to handbook guidelines consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.Abide by all safety, quality, personnel, and other policies as applicable.Work Qualifications:Formal education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant fieldExperience: 5 years of experience in a highly regulated, quality-driven industry (e.g., aerospace, medical, etc).Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or product lifecycle management (PLM) systems – or similar data management tools.Familiarity with ISO, AS9100, or NADCAP quality systems (preferred).Proven ability to work with technical documents such as blueprints, schematics, CAD models and specifications.Certificates and Licenses: None required.Professional Competencies:Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.Strong technical acumen with the ability to quickly grasp complex technical information.Highly organized and methodical, with a passion for precision.Strong written and verbal communication skills for translating complex technical concepts into clear documentation.Comfortable working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
