*National Tropical Botanical Garden**Facilities Technician**National Headquarters- Kalaheo**JOB POSTING*The National Tropical Botanical Garden is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a full-time Facilities Technician at our South ShoreGardens (Allerton and McBryde).This position assists with the upkeep, maintenance and repair of the complex. Candidates must be proficient in landscape irrigation repair, installation, and equipment operation as well as possess a variety of abilities including a combination of some of the following: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, welding, locksmith, and janitorial skills. May be asked to operate heavy equipment as well as assist with event set up and tear down.Requires the demonstrated ability to work safely and efficiently with minimum supervision. Experience using a variety of equipment, including hand held power tools and heavy equipment. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. Must be able to obtain CDL endorsement, OSHA 10 certification and CPR/first aid certification within required time frame after hire. Position will be required to work in a variety of conditions, including outdoors with variable weather conditions.
